Collins Aerospace is looking for an established Manager, Health & Safety to manage multiple level teams and environmental contractors. You will design, develop, implement, and oversee the organization's Environment, Health, and Safety (EH&S) programs and procedures to safeguard employees and the environment. You will confirm compliance of all facilities with EH&S regulations and UTC requirements.
Position is currently required to work onsite at our Riverside, CA facilities.
What You Will Do:
Acts as a partner in EH&S by formulating and administering EH&S plans and procedures including EH&S Program Management. Has responsibility for multiple EH&S specialties.
May perform tasks associated with Health / Safety and Environmental / Compliance.
Coordinates with business partners for EH&S concerns regarding facilities and employee practices. May have responsibility for facilities and / or medical at a site. Organizes and maintains EH&S policies to achieve and maintain compliance with regulations.
Manages relationships across other specialized departments to achieve and maintain compliance with EH&S regulations and UTC requirements.
Leads team of intermediate to experienced EH&S generalist professionals, setting objectives and guiding others on the development of critical EH&S programs for appropriate lines of business.
Interfaces with local EH&S authorities and coordinates with business partners in the development of strategic EH&S initiatives with the goal of enhancing EH&S process and program performance.
Analyzes audit findings to achieve and maintain safe work practices.
Interfaces with local EHS authorities to achieve and maintain the facilities are compliant with local regulations.
Develops all required environmental regulatory reports and submissions to achieve and maintain standard documentation.
Liaises with Facilities Management on any site environmental activities to formulate and administer the policies.
Coordinates and influences environmental contract negotiation to achieve and maintain regulations.
Guides business partners to achieve and maintain understanding and compliance with EHS regulations.
Develops and implements strategic EHS initiatives and coordinates/drives the necessary tactical resources/elements to achieve and maintain successful implementation
Must be willing and able to travel up to 5% of the time
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
5+ years experience in Environmental or Health or Safety in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Health & Safety management software
Experience managing other safety personnel
Experience working in a Title V environment
Experience working in a union environment
Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM)
Certification in Project Management
Experience supporting an EHS program in Southern California (Cal OSHA, SCAQMD)

The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
