TSG is seeking an experienced Project Manager

with PMI-PMP certified

for the State of California agency

assignment. The Project Manager will

serve as an advisor on the project and provide the full range of project management duties. You will

lead daily client meetings and create presentations, providing real-time, insightful counsel to ensure every client interaction is of high value to the client. Also, you will possess requisite knowledge and abilities in performing the various Project Management disciplines in planning, coordinating, and executing IT projects

.

The position is HYBRID

and requires significant interaction cross-functionally with executives, managers, project teams, development teams, and other stakeholders. You may be required to meet with staff onsite and/or virtually to discuss research, issue analysis and resolution, status updates, and other items as needed within the Sacramento region.

You must reside within driving distance of Sacramento, CA region.

You will provide the following.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as an advisor on the project and provide the full range of project management duties.
• Possess the skills, knowledge, and ability to plan, coordinate, and execute projects according to specific requirements and constraints.
• Conduct business analysis, performing technical and business process analysis; data collection; fact finding; develop insights and identify improvements/efficiencies.
• Document progress and results of projects through case studies, report to senior management, senior sponsors, project management and other stakeholders.
• Demonstrate experience in the various approaches to system development and/or replacement, personnel management, stakeholder management, operations support, and organizational change management while also demonstrating the ability to simultaneously manage several project management functional groups with various needs.
• Develop project plans, lead one or more tasks/workstreams within the portfolio engagement, reporting status, risks, and additional opportunities to project lead.
• Identify and mitigate project risks impacting scope, schedule, budget and escalating to engagement leadership as necessary.
• Ensure internal stakeholders are informed and understand compliance and operational changes.

Qualifications:

5+ years

Prior IT Project Management

experience is desirable.

5+ years

experience utilizing project management principles, methods, and techniques of PMBOK.

5+ years

experience in PM, IT, business analysis and reporting.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention and focus on detail.

B.A. or B.S. in Information Systems or Computer Science preferred.

PMI-PMP certification required.

Reside within driving distance of Sacramento, CA metropolitan area.

Permanent residents or U.S. Citizens authorized to work in the U.S. for any employers and without sponsorship required.
