Immediate opening for Metrology Technician at established Pharmaceutical Manufacturer located in Riverhead, NY.

Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Strong mechanical skills required. Experience with calibration and measurement tools preferred.
Proficiency with Excel and MS Office required.
Computer literate and technologically proficient with software. Familiarity with Kaye Validation Systems software a plus.
Able to work from an automated lift and ladders
Able to lift up to 50 lbs when required
Able to be qualified to work inside a clean room environment. Clean Room experience a plus.
Responsibilities include:
performing and documenting calibrations and inspections (i.e. on scales, balances, laboratory instrumentation, temperature/humidity controlled chambers),
maintaining air exchange/filtration systems,
maintaining purified water systems, perform temperature and humidity monitoring.
documentation of all work performed; preparation of summary reports.
Salary Range: starts at $25/hour (commensurate with experience)
Company Profile: Established (over 25 years in operation) sterile drug product manufacturer with ISO 5/6/7/8 Clean rooms, Micro and Chemistry labs, and packaging and serialization facilities. Facility specializes in sterile ophthalmic products. Product profile includes approved and monograph products, both prescription and OTC. Operations include company owned trade label, private label and contract manufacturing.
