What does the job involve?
Responsible for operating and monitoring automated control systems used in energy production. Involves monitoring equipment, analysing data, troubleshooting operational issues, and ensuring that systems operate according to established procedures. Diagnose issues that arise and perform necessary adjustments or repairs. Responsible for adhering to safety protocols, and continuously optimizing the energy production processes through automation.
You are utilizing your knowledge in a specific area to carry out tasks that have a short-term operational impact/risk. You independently complete assigned work, either with guidance or by following well-defined guidelines and procedures, in order to achieve targets set by others that have an impact on your immediate team. You effectively communicate facts, practices, and policies to individuals within your immediate team and occasionally with external parties. You adhere to established procedures, identify and resolve challenges, seek continuous improvement, embrace change and ambiguity, and demonstrate flexibility to adopt new activities and ways of working. What will my tasks be?
Within this position, your key tasks will be to:
Be a role model for safety, diversity, and inclusion.
Ensure that maintenance management is followed by identifying and reporting malfunctions in SAP, executing work orders, and providing proper conclusion feedback. Collaborating to maintenance plan review.
Manage competence requirements fulfillment for the team in alignment with contractor’s company reps and ensure that vendors and contractors work safely and effectively, according to the values and culture of the company.
Be responsible for troubleshooting and field repair of Fire and Gas systems and provide technical support for metering systems.
Responsible for supervising the team members (Instrument, Metering and Automation Technicians) and providing recommendations and technical support on instrument and automation reviews, strategic plans, and projects.
Contribute and stimulate others to participate in the company safety initiatives.
Participate on engineering and construction phase of new projects, inside or outside Brazil.
Propose changes in practices and plans to improve reliability and efficiency of Automation systems (Honeywell DCS) and telecom and metering equipment.
Participating in engineering and construction follow up, including 3D review, FAT’s, design, and documents reviews.
Be a role model for digitalization, including the use of Digital fieldworks and condition-based maintenance.

Minimum 3 years as an Automation Supervisor on board production facilities or 6 years of experience working as an Instrument Technician or Automation Technician on board production facilities can be considered.
Desirable Automation Engineer or required technical degree with emphasis on automation, instruments, or electronics, with CFT/CRT required.
Strong knowledge of metering systems, distributed controls system, instrumentation (control valves and process variables), Fire & Gas systems and familiarized with telecommunication equipment, EX equipment maintenance, IT networks, data capture to store and virtual servers.
Efficient in use of maintenance management systems, preferably SAP and efficient in using office computer systems.
Fluent in Portuguese language and intermediate level in English language is required.
Respond promptly, performing troubleshooting and executing maintenance on the field in line with approved procedures.
Be familiar with industrial communication protocols, including Modbus, HART, Profinet, Rockwell ControlLogix and Siemens Step 7.
