POSITION SUMMARY
The Behavioral Health Worker (BHW) works closely with the Mental Health Professional and BHW counterpart to provide direct treatment services to children, adolescents, and families.
Dickinson Center, Inc. (DCI) has partnered with various school districts in Pennsylvania to offer mental health treatment in a flexible Community and School-Based Behavioral Health (CSBBH) model.
The CSBBH Team complements school district interventions, such as district prevention programs, educationally-based emotional and behavioral support programs, and other types of community services.
Treatment is composed of individual, family and group therapies across a variety of settings: home, school and community. The team provides crisis services, consultation, and case management services for the students who are involved within the program.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
A bachelor's degree in a Human Services field with 2 years of paid experience in a clinical setting.
In lieu of the 4-year degree requirement, may include students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW) who are in their senior year, have completed at least 30 credits in social work-required courses, and have completed short field experiences (requirements for the BSW degree) at the time of hire. The required 450-hour internship that counts for course credit may be completed during their employment a CSBBH provider.
