based on experienceand is
full time, non-exempt, with consistent weekday hours and a reliable schedule.
Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 3:00PM
Located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland (Ridgely) an easy 3540 minute commute from Dover, DE; Bridgeville, DE; Trappe, MD; and about 45 minutes from the Bay Bridge.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of preventative and general maintenance, as well as repairs, to ensure Benedictines buildings and facilities remain safe, clean, and functional
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly and professionally using a web-based work order system
- Collaborate with the maintenance team and outside contractors during renovations or expansions
- Maintain strong communication with the Facilities Manager about project statuses and facility needs
- Assist in maintaining all Benedictine properties in excellent condition, including residential and educational buildings

Other Duties
- Cooperate with administrators and regulatory agencies during inspections or investigations
- Attend and complete all required training and maintain any job-specific licenses or certifications
- Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 5 years experience in general maintenance or a related field
- Working knowledge and/or licensure in one or more of the following:
- Carpentry
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- Mechanical maintenance and repair
- Must be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Must be tech-savvy enough to use web-based systems for tracking and communication
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid driver's license required; must meet insurance requirements
- Must pass drug screening, CPS check, and criminal background clearances

Physical Requirements
- Able to lift or push up to 50 lbs
- Able to walk or stand for extended periods of time
- Full range of motion in limbs and joints; able to sit, climb, kneel, stoop, and crawl
- Able to see clearly, adjust focus, and hear well
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow
