Behavior Technician – School Setting
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week
Start Date: February 20, 2026
? Contract Length: 14 weeks (through 5/29/2026)
Setting: Alternative School (Middle & High School Students)
Job Summary
We are seeking a strong, experienced Behavior Technician to support students in an alternative school setting. The Behavior Technician will assist with educational and behavioral programs for students with significant behavioral needs and collaborate closely with school staff to help students achieve learning and behavioral goals.
This role involves working with a small group of students, not managing a full classroom. Students are primarily middle- and high-school males with aggressive behaviors, so candidates must be comfortable, confident, and physically capable in a high-needs environment.
Responsibilities
Support behavioral and educational goals for assigned students
Implement behavioral interventions and crisis-response strategies
Collaborate with school staff, SPED team, and behavioral specialists
Document services using Ed Plan
Maintain student safety and follow school/district protocols
May assist at a nearby campus (within 2 minutes), but not repeatedly throughout the day
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
Strong background in behavior intervention
CPR (if applicable)
TB questionnaire/PPD or chest X-ray (as required)
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years old
