Loan Processor -- Ridgeland, MS Full-Time | Monday -- Friday | 8:15 AM -- 5:00 PM | No Weekends

Brightview Credit Union is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Loan Processor to join our Ridgeland, MS branch. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and excellent member service throughout the lending process. The Loan Processor plays a critical role in supporting loan operations, assisting lending staff, and helping members move smoothly from application to funding.

Responsibilities

Loan Processing and Support Accurately key loan applications into internal systems and verify application information for completeness and accuracy. Review documentation to ensure loan files meet credit union policies and regulatory requirements.

Documentation Management Prepare, organize, and maintain loan files and supporting documents. Ensure all required paperwork is completed, properly recorded, and compliant prior to funding.

Lending Operations Assistance Support loan officers and lending staff with administrative and operational tasks related to consumer loans. Assist with follow-ups, document collection, and loan status updates.

Member Communication Communicate professionally with members regarding loan documentation, application status, and required information while maintaining a high level of service and confidentiality.

Quality Control and Compliance Maintain accuracy in data entry and file maintenance while adhering to credit union procedures, lending regulations, and record retention standards.

Backup Member Service Support Provide backup assistance to member service functions as needed, including helping members with basic account inquiries, transactions, or operational support during high-volume periods.

Team Collaboration Work closely with lending and branch staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely loan processing while contributing to a positive and cooperative team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines accurately.
• Customer service experience required; lending or financial institution experience preferred.
• Comfort working with computer systems and data entry platforms.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of lending products and financial services preferred.
