Overview
Leading pharmaceutical company looking for an experienced Histotechnician. Ideal candidates should have a bachelors degree and experience with FFPE tissue processing, embedding, and sectioning in TMA formats.
Responsibilities
Perform tissue fixation, processing, and embedding of biological specimens
Section tissues using microtomy techniques to prepare high-quality slides
Conduct routine, special staining, and IHC/IF procedures
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including whole slide scanners
Ensure quality control and accurate documentation of laboratory procedures
Collaborate with pathologists and research scientists to support ongoing projects
Requirements
Microtomy skill with experience in FFPE tissue block sectioning (skin required)
Experience with FFPE tissue processing, embedding, and sectioning in TMA formats
Bachelor's degree in histotechnology or a related field
ASCP certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL), or eligibility to obtain certification
Proficiency in microtomy, tissue processing, embedding, and staining techniques
Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory compliance
Exceptional attention to detail, manual dexterity, and organizational skills
Excellent time-management and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume laboratory environment
