WSP USA Vice President, Project Management - Tolling Operations in Richmond, Virginia

WSP is initiating a search for Vice President, Project Management to support our Tolling Operations Team!

This role will work out of our Richmond, VA office.

JOB SUMMARY

The Project Manager is the day-to-day contact person for all customer service center (CSC) operations matters and shall be responsible for the overall management and delivery of the CSC related work. Primary responsibilities include overseeing a large-scale project including multiple solutions and subcontractors while ensuring that the required scope is delivered in accordance with the contract and budget.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include some or all of the following. Management may assign other duties as needed.

  • Act as the contact for the client and manage the customer relationship while reporting on project status

  • Develop project plans that identify resource and budgetary needs to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes

  • Manage requirements, issues, and risks to ensure the project meets financial objectives, and client expectations

  • Manage suppliers and subcontractors

  • Provide leadership for the project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to responsibilities and project milestones

  • Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and lead the project team meetings

  • Seek and evaluate change-requests and administer a change control registry for tracking the submission, coordination, review, evaluation, categorization, and approval for release of all system changes

  • Manage and document client-driven scope changes and enhancements, assess impact and initiate appropriate actions such as internal communications, estimate/schedule/work plan revisions, change documentation, and amendment preparation

  • Manage and document internal contract changes that affect booking, cost, or margin and coordinate with Project Coordinators

  • Review project and/or operations costs, including accruals, at least on a monthly basis, and coordinates with Project Coordinators and the finance department as needed

  • Validate, revise, and update scope of work and time requirements of the contract

  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues communicating to executive management

  • Manage weekly, monthly and requested meetings, providing agendas, presentations, materials and meeting minutes

  • Adhere to project requirements for operating, staffing and reporting

  • Manage ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution

  • Should possess an above average skill, ability, and knowledge of PC computers. The ability to develop, create, and utilize spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel) and word processing software (Microsoft Word) on a daily basis. The individual should possess the skills and ability to learn and utilize new software products as introduced by the organization

  • Available to travel estimated at 25% annually

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

  • Ability to adhere to attendance requirements

  • Primarily sedentary physical work requiring ability to lift a maximum of 10 pounds

  • Must be able to lift, carry, walk, and stand

  • Vision for reading, recording, and interpreting information

  • Frequent speech communication, hearing and listening to maintain communication

  • Daily use of computer and keyboard, standard office equipment and telephone

  • Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer

  • Frequent hand/eye coordination to operate computer keyboard and office equipment

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of project team members and subcontractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Should meet or exceed the following:

  • 12+ years of relevant experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field

  • Five (5) years’ experience in the toll industry or other related customer service operations environment

  • Project Manager for at least one (1) tolling customer service center operation

  • Project Manager for at least one (1) project of $10 million or more annually

  • Project management certification such as PMP desired
