CBRE Eastern Regional Facilities Manager in Richmond, Virginia
About the Role:
As a CBRE Regional Facilities Manager, you'll manage theday-to-day functions of the team responsible for building operations andmaintenance of a Data Center facilities within a dedicated region.
This job is a part of the Facilities Management functionalarea which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets,providing support to the Facilities team regarding all repairs and projects.
This is a hybrid position (3 days onsite/2 days remote) can be filled in the following cities:Richmond, VA; Manassas, VA; Ashburn, VA; or Sterling, VA.
What You’ll Do:
• Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor thetraining and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations andcoaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
• Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities.Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and trackstaff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients.Conduct regular meetings regarding regional facilities' performance.
• Report on property profiles, emergency preparedness plans,site inspections, facility audits, etc.
• Develop policies and procedures to ensure that contractspecifications are fulfilled.
• Prepare presentations to obtain approval for projects.
• Create strategic facility management objectives forclients. Generate capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
• Inspect the facility periodically for quality assurance.Ensure facility procedures comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistentwith CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach anagreement.
• Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own disciplineintegrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day andmoderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systemsand processes.
What You’ll Need :
• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevantexperience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education willbe considered.
• Experience in staffing, selection, training, development,coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance andretention preferred.
• Experience working in a Data Center/Critical Facilitiesenvironment is desired.
• Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated,and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
• Excellent leadership skills to motivate team impact onquality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examplesinclude Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitivemindset
