Insight Global Cloud Network Engineer in Richmond, Virginia
Job Description
The ideal candidate needs to be a highly skilled, senior level engineer or higher with deep, hands-on experience across cloud networking, data center fabrics, IPv6 modernization, SD WAN, and security integrated network architecture. This individual must be capable of designing, deploying, and supporting hybrid enterprise environments spanning AWS, Azure, on prem data centers, and multi site EVPN fabrics. The candidate is expected to demonstrate both architectural expertise and practical, in the trenches engineering capability.
This position can pay 60-75/hr based on experience

Skills and Requirements
Design and operate enterprise cloud networks, including routing, segmentation, DNS, and hybrid connectivity across multi‑cloud environments.
Design and operate network security controls, including traffic inspection, segmentation, and policy enforcement in cloud and hybrid networks.
Build and manage network infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and automation.
Design and operate modern data center fabrics, including multi‑site architectures, high availability, service chaining, and Layer 2/Layer 3 networking.
Implement network monitoring, telemetry, compliance, and operational best practices.
Deploy and operate SD‑WAN, including ZTP, segmentation, traffic engineering, QoS, and multi‑transport troubleshooting. Lead enterprise IPv6 migrations across data centers, WAN, cloud, and software‑defined networks.
Design and deploy IPv6 at scale, including addressing, dual‑stack routing, DNS/IPAM, and security controls.
