Description
We are looking for an Accounting Associate with 1-3 years of experience to support accounts receivable functions in a long-term contract position. Based in Richmond, Virginia, this role involves performing critical accounting tasks, addressing customer inquiries, and ensuring accurate financial reconciliation. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
• Process and manage accounts payable and receivable transactions with accuracy.
• Perform bank reconciliation tasks to ensure financial integrity.
• Address customer inquiries promptly and professionally, providing resolutions to issues or complaints.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or problems in accounting records.
• Create, update, and maintain spreadsheets to support financial reporting.
• Conduct research and analysis to support accounting operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and ensure compliance.
• Serve as a point of contact for financial inquiries, demonstrating strong customer service skills.
• Assist in leading tasks or projects within the accounting department when needed.
Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Proficiency in spreadsheet creation and editing, with strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with bank reconciliation procedures.
• Strong analytical and research skills to resolve financial discrepancies.
• Exceptional customer service abilities to handle inquiries and complaints.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and functions.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize work.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
