Supervise and schedule activities for concrete laborers and finishers. Read and understand construction blueprints. Work directly with the project manager to review work orders and drawings to understand the scope of the work. Complete contracted work and track time accurately. Ensure all work is being performed as stated by the work order and ensure the rules and regulations of company and the safety of crew is being met. Ensure proper tools and equipment are on jobsite, order concrete deliveries per the project manager's instructions. Measure and record the jobs progress from beginning to end of pouring by taking pictures and send to project manager. Check all equipment, fluid levels, lights and ensure loads are secure and safe. Understand requirements and proper practices of concrete laborer and concrete finisher. Oversee crews who place forms, convey, pour, finish and cure concrete. Examine concrete after forms are stripped and give instructions to repair defects and inspect their stability before and during pouring. Direct concrete laborers and finishers to ensure concrete is compacted to desired consistency and surface is finished properly. Train new employees on operation of equipment and vehicles. Report accidents and/or damage to project manager and always remain on the jobsite with crew. Be able to communicate effectively with customers.
