Position SummaryThe Outreach Supervisor is responsible for the daily oversight, program development and implementation, staff supervision, evaluation and reporting for the NYS OASAS Street Outreach Program. Key Responsibilities * Responsible for day-to-day operations, program development and implementation, and evaluation for the NYS OASAS Street Outreach Program * Responsible for overseeing both SSP drop-in sites (Jamaica and Woodside). * Oversee all program staff, including staff supervision and scheduling. * Write monthly reports of service provision for funding agencies, and complete other contract documentation requirements. * Ensure the provision of required services. * Maintain accurate and comprehensive client documentation to comply with contract requirements. * Ensure coordination with other agency programs and departments and community agencies to ensure the provision of additional services to program participants (i.e. Overdose Prevention Education, HIV testing, Hepatitis C screening). * Ensure coordination and training of program staff and peers. * Participate in provider meetings, advocacy groups, planning meetings, etc. * Oversee program quality improvement, quality assurance and compliance activities. * Any other responsibility as required by Harm Reduction Manager Qualifications Required * Knowledge of harm reduction practice and theory, including expertise in syringe exchange, harm reduction strategies, and education for HIV and HCV prevention. * Knowledge of HIV, Hepatitis C, mental health, and substance use issues. * Experience working with active substance users. Ability to engage drug users in a non-judgmental manner. * Must be culturally competent and able to work with individuals from non-traditional backgrounds in terms of gender identity and sexuality. Must be able to convey sensitivity in a non-judgmental manner. * Bachelors degree or CASAC certification (or CASAC-Trainee) with background in social services and experience delivering services to the target population. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Flexible team player, willing to work late nights, holidays and be open to flexible scheduling. * Valid NYS drivers license preferred. * Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. The Outreach Supervisor position is a full-time, non-exempt position, based in Richmond Hill, Queens, near the E train and LIRR.
