Aerotek Fabricator in Richmond, British Columbia
Fabricator
Location: Richmond, BC
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Overtime available)
We’re looking for an experienced Fabricator to join our skilled production team. In this hands-on role, you’ll take projects from blueprint to final installation—cutting, assembling, welding, and installing high‑quality metal components. If you take pride in precision craftsmanship, working with heavy materials, and being part of a supportive team environment, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
Create and construct patterns, guides, and templates for metal cutting
Interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings to plan materials and work sequence
Layout reference points and patterns on heavy metals
Cut, assemble, fit, and weld metal sections and plates into complete units or sub‑assemblies
Install fabricated components into final products
Operate light machinery such as brake presses, shears, cutting torches, and grinders
Set up and operate heavy equipment including radial drills, end mills, and edge planers
Preheat workpieces to enable shaping and forming
Monitor quality, accuracy, and production standards throughout fabrication
Track material usage and report material issues as needed
Ensure all work meets fabrication standards, compliance requirements, and safety regulations
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Accurately complete work orders, timecards, and related documentation
Effectively prioritize daily work and meet deadlines
Participate in cross‑training as required to support team and facility operations
What You Bring
Essential Qualifications
5+ years of hands‑on fabrication experience
Red Seal certification
CWB certification
Experience working with steel, flux‑core welding, and stick welding
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Commitment to workplace safety and accuracy
Nice to Have
Forklift experience
Confined space knowledge or certification
Experience with class production environments
Marine fabrication experience
Work Environment
Work performed both indoors (including confined spaces) and outdoors
Projects may require working at heights up to 25 feet
Regular use of wire feed welding machines
PPE required: steel‑toed boots, welding helmet, and safety glasses/goggles
Candidates should have basic tools (e.g., chipping hammer)
Occasional travel to off‑site locations may be required
