At the Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. Our Occupational Safety and Industrial Hygiene (OS&IH) team is seeking a dynamic Safety Specialist within our Central Programs Group who has the ability to provide industry-leading support to the various CPCCo Projects across the plateau. The Central OS&IH Programs team develops, maintains, and verifies that the CPCCo is performing work safely in a manner consistent with company and DOE standards. A day in the life of a Programs Safety Specialist may include the following: * Helping develop OS&IH related communications, presentations, and campaigns * Assisting in researching OSHA regulations and ANSI standards * Supporting OS&IH Program Technical Authorities with maintaining and developing procedures * Helping perform various OS&IH assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with requirements. * Participating in safety and health inspections * Assisting with tracking OS&IH metrics and key performance indicators * Participating in various safety committee meetings * Attending site wide OS&IH committee meetings * Providing support to maintain CPCCo's Site Wide Industrial Hygiene Database Basic Qualifications Early Career Level Grade 13: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Intermediate Grade 14: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with 2 or more years of relevant experience The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact.
