Actalent Pharmacy Technician in Richland, Washington

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Schedule: M - F 8am - 4:30pm

Job Description

Support pharmacists by preparing, labeling, and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and maintaining electronic records within a hospital or oncology setting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, label, and dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.

  • Manage pharmacy inventory to ensure adequate stock levels and timely replenishment.

  • Maintain accurate electronic records of medications and inventory.

  • Assist in the preparation of IV mixtures and compounding medications.

  • Support the pharmacy team in delivering patient care in a hematology/oncology department.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of experience working as a pharmacy technician in an acute care setting.

  • Pharmacy Technician certification in WA State.

  • Experience with IV Mixtures and IV Compounding.

  • Knowledge of pharmacy inventory management.

  • Experience in hematology and oncology settings.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with HD Admixture and Non-HD Admixture.

  • Familiarity with BD Optima.

  • Preferred experience with USP 797 and USP 800 standards.

Work Environment

This role is based within the inpatient hospital setting, specifically in the Hematology/Oncology department. The position involves working with advanced pharmacy technologies and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in accordance with hospital protocols.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Richland, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
