Role Summary:

The Loan Processor I ensures that approved loan applications are processed, prepared, and funded in a timely manner, meeting all credit union and regulatory requirements. 

 

*What You Will Be Doing: *

  1. Review and process all necessary loan documentation for loan completion with extreme accuracy and adherence to compliance expectations
  2. Perform loan audits/reviews on consumer loans to ensure accuracy, adherence to policies and procedures
  3. Establish, maintain, and update files, databases, and records for reporting
  4. Provide member support on completing loan documents
  5. Fund loans
  6. Communicate with member(s) via email, phone or in person
  7. Utilize existing procedures and sound judgement to solve routine or standard problems
  8. Utilize resources to develop knowledge of policies and procedures
  9. Ability to work independently with moderate supervision and be a team player
  10. Ability to multi-task and work with a sense of urgency in a high volume and sometimes stressful work environment
  11. Attend credit union training sessions, conferences and seminars as approved by Manager to expand professional knowledge
  12. Work varying shifts as assigned for open hours Monday through Saturday. Work at the branch location deemed by the Credit Union to support credit Union business needs
  13. Contribute to effective department and Credit Union operations by performing other related duties as assigned

     

About You:

  1. Basic familiarity of a financial institution's products and services, preferable in a credit union environment
  2. Comprehensive knowledge of credit union history and its philosophy
  3. Actively participates in community outreach events 
Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  1. Minimum of one (1) year of similar or related experience
  2. Minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience
  3. High school diploma or equivalent
  4. Demonstrated ability to communicate with members or dealers about risk-based lending scores, loan documents, rates, loan decisions and credit union policies and procedures. 
  5. Basic knowledge of lending products, services, and processes
  6. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and multiple software used to perform duties
