At the Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. Our Waste Projects and Operations (WPO) OS&IH team is seeking an Early Career Industrial Hygienist who has the knowledge, skill and desire to work closely with Career and Senior level Industrial Hygienists to further develop their abilities while providing industry-leading support to Waste Facilities, Disposal Facilities, Fuels Facilities and the support organizations. WPO OS&IH team verifies that the project is performing work safely in a manner consistent with company and DOE standards, OSHA, NIOSH, ACGIH, and other industry best practices. A day in the life of an Early Career Industrial Hygienist may involve, but is not limited to: * Work closely with Career and Senior level Industrial Hygienists to share and learn best practices. * Review and implement OS&IH Program policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, regulations and orders from regulating entities. * Identify physical, chemical and biological hazards and prescribe protective measures using the hierarchy of controls. * Maintain proficiency, training qualifications and medical clearances necessary to perform OS&IH duties and access Project areas. * Obtain, maintain and apply the necessary skills and knowledge of OS&IH aspects as assigned to diverse work activities such as operations, construction, maintenance, drilling, modification, fabrication, environmental restoration and deactivation and decommissioning. * Conduct OS&IH field assessments, inspections and walk downs to evaluate conditions and ensure compliance. * Assist with the development of records, reports and documents that may be required to meet corporate or regulatory requirements. * Support President's Zero Accident Council 2.0 (PZAC 2.0), Employee Zero Accident Council (EZAC) and Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) initiatives and efforts by fostering safety awareness and assisting in completing related actions. * Utilize the Integrated Contractor Assurance System and participate in critiques, incident investigations, and performing corrective actions. * With guidance develop and implement exposure assessment strategies. Develop sampling plans and conduct air, wipe and bulk sampling as necessary to assess potential exposures. Basic Qualifications Early Career Level Grade 14:
