Job Title: Food Truck Team Member
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and team-oriented individual to join our locally sourced food operation, where fresh ingredients from regional growers --- including seasonal produce grown in the owner's own garden --- are transformed into high-quality meals served from our food truck. This role combines food preparation, ingredient coordination, and customer service in a fast-paced, community-focused environment. The ideal candidate takes pride in supporting local suppliers and delivering exceptional food experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- - Assist with receiving, inspecting, and properly storing locally sourced ingredients, including garden-grown produce. - Prepare fresh menu items according to established recipes and food safety standards. - Wash, chop, portion, and organize ingredients for daily service. - Operate within the food truck during service, including cooking, assembling orders, and processing transactions. - Provide excellent customer service and confidently share information about locally sourced and garden-grown ingredients. - Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in prep areas and inside the food truck. - Assist with food truck setup, breakdown, restocking, and inventory management. - Follow all local health department regulations and workplace safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- - Experience in food service, culinary arts, hospitality, or customer service preferred but not required. - Valid Food Handler's Permit required. - Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. - Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude. - Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and community events.
Physical Requirements:
- - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. - Comfortable standing for extended periods in a compact kitchen environment. - Ability to bend, lift, reach, and move quickly during busy service periods.
