Actalent RF Technician in Richardson, Texas

We are looking to hire an RF Technician to calibrate, test, and maintain a wide range of inspection, measurement, and test equipment across multiple disciplines, with a strong focus on RF systems. This role develops and executes calibration procedures, analyzes measurement uncertainty, and ensures equipment accuracy and reliability. The RF Technician also supports continuous improvement by training junior technicians and collaborating closely with internal teams and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment (IM&TE) across multiple disciplines, including RF, pressure, temperature, and torque.

  • Maintain primary/intrinsic and secondary/working calibration standards to ensure accurate and traceable measurements.

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair precision equipment to minimize downtime and ensure reliable operation.

  • Develop detailed calibration procedures based on technical specifications, standards, and equipment requirements.

  • Collect and record calibration data accurately, identify and correct out-of-tolerance conditions, and resolve measurement errors.

  • Prepare clear and complete calibration reports and certificates that document results and traceability.

  • Adapt equipment, setups, and techniques to support unique or complex measurement tasks.

  • Perform measurement uncertainty evaluations and analysis to validate calibration results and methods.

  • Train junior technicians in calibration procedures, equipment usage, and best practices.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to clarify requirements, resolve technical issues, and support project needs.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support laboratory operations and customer requirements.

Essential Skills

  • At least 4 years of hands-on calibration experience.

  • Strong experience with RF systems, RF testing, and RF test equipment.

  • Proficiency using spectrum analyzers for RF measurement and troubleshooting.

  • Proficiency using signal generators for RF testing and calibration tasks.

  • Experience with calibration of pressure testing equipment.

  • Experience with calibration of temperature measurement and testing equipment.

  • Experience with calibration of torque measurement and testing equipment.

  • Solid understanding of electronics as applied to test and measurement systems.

  • Ability to develop and follow detailed calibration procedures based on technical specifications.

  • Ability to collect, analyze, and document calibration data accurately.

  • Experience performing laboratory testing with a variety of test equipment.

  • Ability to perform uncertainty evaluations and basic uncertainty analysis.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Background in calibration across multiple disciplines, including RF, pressure, temperature, and torque.

  • Experience working with a variety of test equipment in a laboratory environment.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for precision instruments and electronic test equipment.

  • Ability to train and mentor junior technicians in calibration practices.

  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and customers.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to measurement accuracy and quality.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richardson, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
