Location: Richardson, TX | Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:15AM – 4:00 PM | Pay: $20.90/hour

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the electronics manufacturing industry to hire a skilled Production Operator . If you excel in hands-on assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic products, this is your chance to be a key contributor to high-quality production and operational efficiency.

The Role & Your Impact

As a Production Operator, you will perform moderately complex manufacturing tasks, including assembly, repair, modification, and testing of electronic products. Your work ensures production schedules are met while maintaining strict quality standards. By identifying and communicating issues, you help prevent defects, support team efficiency, and contribute to the delivery of reliable, high-performing electronics.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform hand soldering and manual assembly of components.

  • Set up, operate, and maintain semi-automatic and automated assembly equipment and tools.

  • Operate functional test units and conduct electronic product testing using automated and non-automated diagnostic programs.

  • Inspect products using visual, electronic, automated, and mechanical inspection procedures.

  • Troubleshoot routine and basic defects and communicate issues to the Team Leader.

  • Move between operations or products as production schedules dictate.

  • Maintain detailed, accurate, and organized records of production activities.

  • Follow quality and soldering specifications, product process flow, and quality improvement processes.

  • Collaborate with supervisors, co-workers, and internal customers to ensure production goals are achieved.

  • Demonstrate work methods to new employees as required.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical coursework preferred

  • Three to five years of relevant electronics manufacturing experience

  • Hands-on experience with assembly, testing, and repair of electronic components

  • Knowledge of product quality and soldering specifications

  • Ability to operate semi-automatic and automated assembly equipment and functional test units

  • Knowledge of electrical, electromechanical, and pneumatic systems

  • Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail

  • Ability to maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with team members

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with manufacturing information systems

  • Additional certifications as defined by site operations

  • Ability to provide guidance or training to new employees

  • Familiarity with basic troubleshooting and repair methodologies

Physical & Work Environment

  • Duties performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, machinery, and temperature variations

  • Requires repetitive hand motions, sitting/standing in confined spaces, and precise manual dexterity

  • Periodic lifting of materials and extended visual concentration on assemblies and documentation

  • Work conducted following Company and statutory Health and Safety guidelines

Pay Details: $20.90 per hour
