Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, WI is seeking an MRI TECHNOLOGIST to join our MRI team!

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs quality diagnostic MRI scans. The MRI Technologist will have an above average knowledge of MRI equipment. Complies with performance measures and/or activities to assure patient/customer satisfaction results, clinical quality benchmarks, and operational financial targets are constantly maintained. Complies with and participates in maintaining an environment which supports our philosophy and values.

HOURS: Part-Time, 16 hours every two weeks working dayshift hours, Monday-Friday, based on applicants' availability

Experience/Qualifications

  • Knowledge of radiology standards and procedures as they relate to MRI normally acquired through graduation of an approved radiology school, an Associate’s Degree in Radiology, or sufficient on the job training to meet ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification requirements.

  • One year of clinical experience in diagnostic imaging is beneficial to enhance and develop skills.

  • Previous experience in MRI Technology and cross-sectional anatomy beneficial.

  • ARRT(R) and (MRI)

  • Interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients, physicians, and co-workers who may be under physical and/or emotional stress.

  • Analytical skills in order to acquire and effectively utilize knowledge of MR techniques and methods.

  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy in order to obtain quality images.

  • Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for approximately 75% of work time when operating equipment, manipulating, reproducing images and dealing with patient records, as well as the ability to work effectively under stressful conditions and during irregular hours.

  • Site specific competencies in protocols, equipment, computer systems and applications.
