About the Role:
The Unit Manager (LPN or RN) plays a critical leadership role in overseeing the daily operations of a healthcare unit within Meadows at Brookmeade This position ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care by coordinating nursing staff, managing resources, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. The Unit Manager acts as a liaison between patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote a supportive and efficient care environment. They are responsible for implementing policies, monitoring patient outcomes, and fostering continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Current and valid NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license. Valid BLS/CPR certification Clinical nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or long-term care setting. Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience within a healthcare environment. Strong knowledge of nursing practices, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare documentation systems. Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff to ensure effective patient care delivery. Develop and implement unit policies and procedures in alignment with organizational standards and regulatory requirements. Monitor patient care quality and safety, addressing any issues promptly to maintain high standards. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient treatment plans. Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to patient care and unit operations. Lead quality improvement projects and participate in compliance audits to uphold accreditation standards. Provide support and guidance to nursing staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
