The Merchandise Planner of Central Planning supports the US Domestic Merchandise Planning and Allocation team through creating & maintaining multi-channel reporting at the Sub Brand/Sub class level. Provides analytics & materials for (but not limited to) Monthly Plan Review, Weekly Business Review, and Quarterly Earnings. The Merchandise Planner will be expected to present in the monthly business review meetings and be able to craft a story around business trends and go forward risk/opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Perform business and profitability analysis for both inseason and preseason with focus on both Total North America and US Dual channel selling metrics.

  • Develop and synthesize executive‑level materials for Total North America and Dual Channel, translating complex analyses into clear, concise, and actionable storylines.

  • Maintain a strong pulse on category and collection performance and key storylines, ensuring a consistent and cohesive narrative across all executive‑level materials.

  • Support the Director and Managers of Central Planning and collaborate with partners to develop and manage the Central Planning master calendar.

  • Exhibit flexibility by supporting additional Central Planning projects as business needs evolve and timelines shift.

  • Demonstrate a growth mindset to effectively support and advance transformation initiatives across the organization.

  • Proactively manage and prioritize work to stay ahead of deliverables, adapting quickly to frequent and unanticipated requests.

  • Collaborate with cross functional partners from Planning, Finance, Merchandising, and Marketing

Qualifications

  • 4+ years retail planning or relevant business experience

  • Retail Industry or Merchandise Planning experience preferred

  • High Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Prior experience using EDW / MicroStrategy or another web-based Data Services engine preferred

  • Business Analytics experience

  • Strong analytical and data gathering skills

  • Strong collaboration skills

  • High proficiency in financial modeling techniques

  • Good business acumen

  • Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; be comfortable interacting with executive-level management

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or Business field required.
