As a Security Officer - Office Park Patrol Driver in Reston, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced telecom and technology location as an unarmed patrol officer. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver strong customer service through clear communication and quick support for guests and staff. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of office areas, corridors, parking areas, and the building perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
Monitor access points and controlled areas during patrols, verify authorization as required, and report unusual activity and/or policy violations to site leadership.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or site contacts as directed by post orders.
Complete required reports and shift documentation, communicate observations during shift transitions, and assist with basic customer and/or visitor questions while maintaining a professional presence.
Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
