Responsibilities
What You'll Do
The Junior Identity Security Engineer would be responsible for managing and monitoring the security and operation of identity and authentication systems and applications with the V2X environment. Identity engineer will work with the Cyber Security Manager to properly configure and maintain the identity services, review user access and activity, triage and investigate security alerts related to identity activity (including processing security risks and alerts from email services).
The junior engineer would also help clean up and manage useful and configurable reports/data for the Information Security Manager on the current status of every account in the V2X network. They will be responsible for tracking the handling and status of discovered security risks related to access and identity.
Junior Identity engineer will work with IT Infrastructure team to ensure all connected accounts are being monitored and reviewed regularly. Suspicious and risky activity alerts will be monitored and functionally improved.
Key Responsibilities
Configure and maintain the security of identity and authentication services, and document processes.
Maintain reports and data from Microsoft 365 and Azure as required.
Monitor risky user activity and review account statuses.
Monitor and review email system alerts and suspicious activity.
Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation within the Cybersecurity team, typically one week every other month, to provide incident response and support.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
CompTIA Security+ (required)
Additional computer security certifications (preferred)
2-year degree in IT-related field (preferred)
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year experience working with in a cloud or email security role for a large-scale enterprise environment
Minimum 1-3 years' experience in technical IT roles
Skills & Technology Used
Rapid7 IDR and IVM (preferred)
Microsoft Azure (including Azure AD/Entra; Gov Cloud preferred)
Microsoft SAML/SSO and MFA
Microsoft Office 365 (GCC experience preferred)
Microsoft Sentinel (preferred)
Exchange / Exchange Online
Experience working with hybrid environments (cloud/on-prem)
Hyper-V / VMware experience
Varonis
ServiceNow
Okta

The successful candidate’s starting pay will be based on, but not limited to, their job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company.
USD $ $ 65,000 - 105,000
Provided salary range minimum and maximum values correspond to variances between regional/geographic locations across the United States.
