Machine Operator Assistant
Pay: $24/Hour

Shift: Day and Swing
Job Description
Join a leading independent corrugated box manufacturer known for producing high-quality packaging products. We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team, where you will learn from experienced manufacturing personnel and grow within our company. This role requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and a positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute.
Responsibilities
Learn to safely and efficiently operate various pieces of converting equipment.
Apply established quality control procedures effectively.
Execute position responsibilities as they pertain to the assigned work center.
Read and follow order specification documents.
Consistently work to develop or enhance skill sets.
Collaborate with co-workers to establish a team approach to achieve company goals.
Follow all company rules and policies.
Successfully work in multiple areas of the converting plant and perform to expectations.
Essential Skills
Mechanically inclined and able to learn new skills within a standard timeline.
Comfortable around heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to read and write English.
Strong attention to detail.
Basic math knowledge and ability to read a tape measure.
Ability to work overtime.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Basic understanding of machine operation and manufacturing processes.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
High sense of urgency and reliability in attendance.

Work Environment
Work in a very large facility that can get hot in summer and cold in winter. Shifts include Day Shift (5AM - 3:30PM, Mon - Thurs) and Swing Shift (3:30PM - 2:30AM, Mon - Thurs), with occasional mandatory overtime on Fridays. The facility is equipped with advanced machinery, including Multiflute Corrugators, Die Cutters, and Gluers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Renton, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.30 - $24.30/hr.
