Eastside Veterinary Associates Licensed Veterinary Technicians in Renton, Washington
Licensed Veterinary Technicians, Newcastle Veterinary Associates PLLC dba Eastside Veterinary Associates, Newcastle/Renton, WA: Responsible for assisting veterinarians in evaluating and treating companion animals.
Duties and responsibilities include:

·[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Conduct laboratory and diagnostic procedures such as venipuncture, cytology, urinalysis, hematology, microbiology, ECGs, and blood pressure monitoring;
·[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Provide anesthesia services, including pre-medication, induction, intubation, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery care;
·[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Assist in surgical procedures and perform surgical site preparation, instrument setup, and wound closure as permitted;
·[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Administer medications, vaccines, and biologics through multiple routes;
·[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Deliver specialized patient care, including IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and ongoing patient monitoring;
·[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Perform dental procedures such as prophylaxis, nerve blocks, simple extractions, and gingival suturing;

Education: Associate's degree or higher (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Veterinary Technology/Medicine or closely related field.
Experience: Two years of post-Associate's degree experience in veterinary medicine.

Must hold a valid Washington Veterinary Technician license.
Experience must include two years with each of the following:
1.[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Small-animal dental procedures, including charting, full-mouth radiography, scaling, polishing, and local anesthesia (dental nerve blocks), simple extractions, and suturing of gingiva;
2.[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Wound treatments, including cleaning, bandaging, and suturing or closure of prepared skin wounds and gingival incisions under veterinary supervision;
3.[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory testing, fine-needle aspirates and centesis;
4.[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Anesthetic protocols and procedures, including induction, maintenance, monitoring, recovery, and perioperative patient care;
