UL, LLC Senior Technical Training Manager in Remote, United States
This is a full-time hybrid (3 days a week in office) position located at a UL Office.
Perform Project Manager role in large scale global technical training activities, work across levels and functions to develop and manage training plans, budgets, internal or 3rd party vendors, business partners and requestors in order to meet the organizations and customer technical training needs.
Lead and mentor a team of training managers, leads and/or specialists. Provide guidance and support to ensure effective training delivery. Engage with the team to build trust and support staff’s career development.
Supervisor the team and responsible for the technical program designs and delivery by assessing the internal employee or customer need. Implementing the program and evaluate results.
Conducts ongoing meetings with business and requestors on demand forecast, resources and budget planning, strategic alignment and compliance requirements.
Evaluate and conduct continuous improvement in process. Look for advanced training tools and technology to improve training quality, for ongoing sustainability and better efficiency.
Manage budget for the team, ensure cost-effective use of resources.
Ensure training programs comply with relevant accreditation and standards, if applicable.
Track and update key performance indicators to measure the success of training programs and related business results. Identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with HR and responsible for Technical Training related activity and utilization of a Global Learning Management System (or be the sole owner of the Knowledge Solutions Learning Management System for customer facing training)
Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices
Perform other duties as directed.
University Degree (Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree) in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial
Technology, or Manufacturing Technology, HR, or Training plus directly related work experience.
Detailed knowledge of the technical vocabulary common to the appropriate discipline.
Working knowledge on Software and Advisory, Testing, Inspection and Certification standards preferred.
Solid training project management experience
5-years in a managerial role in technical training space

Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
