UL, LLC Senior Manager Cash Operations Management & Compliance in Remote, United States
Reporting to the GBS, Director of Finance Operations, the Senior Manager of Cash Operations Management and Compliance will lead and oversee the cash management (cash receipts, application and disbursements), working capital optimization, payment management and overall GBS SOX and Audit program functions within Global Business Services (GBS). This pivotal role ensures operational excellence, drives process standardization, and provides strategic insights and actions to maximize liquidity, minimize financial risk, and reduce costs across the organization. The senior manager will leverage technology and process excellence to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with all SOX and Internal Audit Requirements.
The senior manager of this function will be responsible for overseeing these capabilities, ensuring operational rigor, attaining key metrics, and driving process transformation aligned with business outcomes. This role is a people-leader with a global team spanning multiple countries, including a BPO partner.
Develop and implement cash management strategies to optimize cash usage
Collaborate closely with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) teams within GBS to identify and execute working capital initiatives.
Analyze cash flow patterns and trends to identify opportunities for improvement in payment and collection processes, driving DPO/DSO improvements.
Oversee the payment management function, ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory guidelines (e.g., SOX), and audit controls.
Manage vendor relationships related to expense systems and banking services, assessing performance and proactively recommending changes.
Review financial reports and seek ways to reduce costs across managed processes.
Prepare and present detailed financial analyses and reports related to cash, liquidity, and key expense metrics to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Develop and maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with internal policies and external financial regulations (e.g., GAAP, SOX).
Develop an execution plan to deliver process performance improvements in collaboration with Global Process Owners.
Successfully deliver multiple programs and projects that are key dependencies for the overall performance of the organization
Manage the performance of all direct reports by developing accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing career counseling, feedback, and guidance, and ensuring that all policies are understood and followed.

Perform other duties as directed.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required; a Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
CPA Preferred
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in accounting, GBS, financial management or treasury operations, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership/managerial role.
Demonstrated expertise in cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and working capital optimization.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Strong leadership capabilities and experience managing cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel functions.
Solid experience as a lead or participant in cross-functional or global projects, or experience working in multiple functions or regions
Ability to lead a team successfully and create partnerships with the business
Strong customer service mindset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to identify and resolve issues independently
Able to manage multiple teams within different geographic regions simultaneously
Team player who can collaborate and communicate with people across all levels and functions

Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $127,000 to $169,300 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
