IT Testing Engineer III
The IT Testing Engineer III is a hands-on testing lead responsible for functional and ETL validation of Pharmacy Rebate and Claims platforms. This role serves as the primary liaison between Business users, Clinical stakeholders (Pharmacists), and Development teams. The ideal candidate combines deep PBM domain expertise with strong technical execution and actively performs backend data validation, SQL querying, and ETL testing.
Required Experience
8+ years of Pharmacy Claims / PBM experience
8+ years of hands-on Software Testing experience
5+ years of hands-on ETL and data warehouse testing experience
Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent industry experience)

Claims Adjudication lifecycle
Eligibility, Provider, Drug, and Formulary data flows
Drug Utilization Review (DUR)
Rebate processing and financial validation
NCPDP standards
Experience with FDB and/or MEDISPAN drug data
Medicaid/CMS knowledge (preferred)
QA Skills (Hands-On)
Advanced SQL (complex joins, aggregations, reconciliation queries)
ETL testing and source-to-target mapping validation
Data completeness, transformation, and integrity validation
Batch job and interface testing (flat files, XML, JSON, vendor feeds)
Regression and data migration testing
SDLC (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
Defect management (MS DevOps preferred)
Creation of Test Plans, Test Cases, Traceability, and LOE estimates
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute hands-on functional and ETL testing for PBM and Rebate systems
Write and execute complex SQL queries for backend data validation
Validate claims adjudication logic, rebate calculations, and financial reconciliation
Analyze and test source-to-target mappings and transformation rules
Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies and regression cycles
Support UAT through direct data validation and reconciliation reporting
Assist in drug benefit configuration (coverage, pricing, PA rules)
Provide PBM subject matter expertise to internal and external stakeholders
Mentor junior team members while actively contributing to testing deliverables
Independently manage deliverables, timelines, and risk escalation
This role requires strong analytical skills, domain leadership, and the ability to ensure data integrity across complex PBM systems.

For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $90,000-$95,000 annually.
