Job Purpose Summary

The Director, Product Management serves as the primary commercially oriented, cross-functional subject matter expert (SME) for Corza Ophthalmology’s Reusable Instrument and Corneal Device portfolios. This person leads global commercial strategy and drives revenue growth and market share across key regions and customer segments. The role works closely with Sales, Digital Marketing, Sales Support, R&D, Regulatory, Quality, and Operations to ensure continuity of product offerings, strong market positioning, and alignment to company goals. The Director of Product Management is expected to operate as a strategic leader, championing product-line needs internally and externally while supporting the continued growth of the business.

What you will do

• Continually assess the global market landscape and competitive trends across various customer, geographic, and care-setting channels, with a particular emphasis on the US surgery center space.

• Shape, articulate, and drive the global product-category strategy for Corza Medical’s portfolio of ophthalmic surgical instruments and corneal devices.

• Ensure that respective product families are appropriately positioned within our portfolio and are supported in the market through effective training, marketing, and service programs.

• Own, represent, and champion each product line’s interests internally and externally.

• Partner closely with the sales team to gather voice-of-field insights through regular field visits, customer interactions, and case observations.

• Work cross-functionally to build business cases for investment in new products and programs, with significant input into product-line business decisions and resource planning.

• Maintain an active field presence to understand customer workflows, unmet needs, and competitive dynamics firsthand, and translate these insights into product and commercial strategy.

• Engage with sales, sales operations, and downstream colleagues to develop new programs, products, and pricing strategies.

• Synthesize large amounts of information, including customer feedback, quantitative data from web analytics, research reports, competitive intelligence, market trends, and statistics.

• Develop relationships with key customers and drive advisory boards and meetings when necessary.

• Represent marketing at key customer meetings, shows, events and corporate presentations.

• Willingness to travel as needed, estimated at 25%.

• Conduct all work activities in compliance with Corza Medical’s internal requirements and all applicable regulatory requirements. Corza Medical internal requirements include compliance with ethics, environmental health and safety, financial and general business policies and requirements.

What you will need

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Business/Engineering or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) strongly preferred.

• Minimum 10years of successful related business (sales, marketing or product management) experience within the surgical medical devices industry required.

• Demonstrated experience building, leading, driving and owning strategic programs and product initiatives, with clear accountability for outcomes rather than contributing in a supporting role required.

• Ophthalmology experience strongly preferred.

• Proven success in global product management and/or portfolio management, including lifecycle strategy, commercialization, and long-term roadmap development. Ability to provide thought leadership and program leadership, bringing forward innovative ideas and driving alignment across complex cross-functional team environments.

• Excellent marketing skills with strong business and financial acumen, including market analysis, pricing strategy and business case development.

• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead initiatives independently from concept through execution, delivering results on time and within scope.

• Ability to translate customer and market insights into actionable strategies, product innovation, and competitive differentiation.

• Experience with profit & loss ownership, including forecasting, budgeting, and delivering financial performance aligned to business objectives.

• Strong communication and executive presence, with the ability to manage feedback, address pushback, navigate scrutiny and confidently preent to senior and executive leadership.

• Ability to thrive in a global, entrepreneurial, fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• Comfortable operating in a global, entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and dynamic environment with competing priorities and evolving business needs.
