D&G Solutions is seeking a Data Engineer to support enterprise-wide data engineering services across multiple programs, contracts, and internal initiatives. This role will deliver scalable, high-impact data solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across Department of War (DoW) and Federal clients.

The Data Engineer will operate as a key technical contributor across a portfolio of efforts, supporting the design, development, and optimization of data pipelines, architectures, and analytics platforms. This position requires a highly adaptable professional capable of working across diverse technical environments, influencing data strategy, and driving best practices across D&G’s data ecosystem.

This role is expected to take ownership of data engineering solutions, contribute to architecture decisions, and support the standardization of data engineering capabilities across the organization.

What You Will Do

Enterprise Data Engineering Leadership:

  • Provide data engineering support across multiple D&G contracts and projects.

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable, reusable data solutions.

  • Contribute to enterprise data strategy and standardization efforts.

Data Pipeline & Architecture Development:

  • Architect and implement ETL/ELT pipelines across diverse data sources.

  • Develop scalable data architectures for analytics and reporting.

  • Establish and enforce data modeling standards.

Advanced Data Solutions & Analytics Enablement:

  • Develop dashboards and applications using Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform.

  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

  • Optimize performance across data pipelines and reporting systems.

Data Integration, Quality & Governance:

  • Integrate data across cloud, on-prem, and enterprise systems.

  • Implement data validation, monitoring, and quality frameworks.

  • Establish automated anomaly detection and reconciliation processes.

Cross-Program Collaboration:

  • Collaborate across contracts with stakeholders and technical teams.

  • Serve as a liaison between business and technical stakeholders.

  • Mentor junior team members.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Modernize legacy systems and improve workflows.

  • Introduce new tools and technologies.

  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and best practices.

What We Are Looking For

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.

  • Experience designing scalable data pipelines and architectures.

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform.

  • Experience integrating multiple enterprise data sources.

  • Strong understanding of data modeling and architecture.

  • Experience optimizing performance and data processing.

  • Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Agile/Scrum experience.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting DoW or Federal programs.

  • Experience in consulting or multi-client environments.

  • Familiarity with AWS or Azure.

  • Experience with real-time data processing.

  • Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, or React.

  • Leadership or mentoring experience.

  • Experience modernizing legacy systems.

Clearance and Eligibility

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • Secret with ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance or higher.

Location

Primarily remote; however, this position may require frequent onsite support in the National Capital Region (NCR), including Fort Belvoir, VA, based on program needs.
