Saint-Gobain Product Manager, Thermal & Acoustics Solutions in Remote, Pennsylvania

What's the job?

*The successful candidate must live within a 10 hour drive from our Malvern, PA HQ*

We are seeking a creative, process-oriented, and entrepreneurial individual to join our team as Product Manager for our Thermal & Acoustics line of business. While these TAS products (Monokote- & ICC K-13) have tremendous brand recognition and are considered category pioneers, there remains robust opportunity for growth. The Product Manager will be instrumental in driving high-potential strategic initiatives with a positive, results-oriented mindset.

Function as the Subject Matter Expert on Product & Target Markets

*Support Leadership on execution of business growth strategy with prioritized initiatives:

*Identify problems/unmet needs and pain points of key stakeholders

*Document competitive landscape with product & service differentiation

*Document stakeholder profiles, specific customer targets, application requirements/challenges, and geographies

*Understand and document purchasing journey & spec-influencing/decision points

*Identify & propose solutions to barriers to adoption

Execute primary and secondary research including stakeholder interviews, jobsite visits, trade events, online, etc. Synthesize research with institutional knowledge from business leaders and sales teams into clear, reusable insights and decision-ready recommendations for where to play and how to win.

Lead Product Portfolio Strategy & Execution including Growth Enablers

Translate customer/market requirements and strategic direction into profitable sales and share gain through:

*Product development and enhancement efforts to be completed on time and on budget, Manufacturing qualifications of new raw materials and/or process enhancements

*Joint development and private label partnerships associated with portfolio elements outside current manufacturing capabilities

*Customer-centric, value-add service and support tools (material estimators, training, QA programs, etc.)

*Profitability analysis and improvement initiatives

*SLOB management – Slow moving and obsolescence management throughout the product life cycle.

*Identify solutions with Product Management across multiple business units; acoustic solutions are offered by several businesses within the CertainTeed brand, and fire-rated systems can be enhanced through collaboration with Bailey and CertainTeed businesses.

*Work with adjacent functions including R&D and Purchasing to define and prioritize opportunities; document business cases to optimize New Product Development/Integration implementation as needed.

Enable Customer-Facing Positioning & Marketing Communications

*Establish value proposition with customer-obsessed positioning and messaging architecture

*Support go-to-market and channel tactics

*Lead demand generation ideas and sales enablement requirements

Partner with Marketing to develop:

*Segment landing pages and collateral

*Case studies, application notes, white papers, webinars/lectures, and thought leadership

*Trade show strategy, speaking opportunities, PR angles, Sales enablement kits

*Act as Subject Matter Expert for cross-functional workflows across Sales, R&D, Tech Service, *Operations, Purchasing, Supply Chain and Marketing.

*Ability to handle multiple projects of varied importance to the promised deliverable results

What do you bring?

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field.

*5+ Years of Product Management or Product Marketing-

*Ability to combine technical depth with strategic vision -

*Experience successfully managing deadline-driven initiatives Proficient

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Fire Protection Engineer or Certified Fire Protection Specialist. -Any experience, even tangential, with a Fire Protection Engineer or Certified Fire Protection Specialist, associated with code and compliance or product development initiatives in a Fireproofing business.

Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $92,000 - $142,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $103,040 to $159,040. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
