Saint-Gobain Technical Field Representative in Remote, New Jersey
What's the job?
*The ideal candidate will reside in NJ or PA.*

As a Technical Field Representative for CertainTeed Gypsum, you will be responsible for demonstrating and creating “pull-through” demand for CertainTeed products via demonstrations, trials, and promotion of all joint treatments, corner products, and wallboard to applicators and dealers.
Some of the essential activities required include:
Operating in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.
Implementing strategy consistent with the sales and marketing plan.
Actively target and track construction projects, finishers, and contractors in association with the Gypsum Region and Territory Managers to highlight key targets in the region for the possibility of conversion.
Provide store service, display installation/maintenance, training, customer shows, finisher/DIY demonstrations, and any other activity which would promote CertainTeed products at the mass merchant/chain/co-op/lumber dealer segments.
Visits field complaints and renders opinions on problem causes and solutions
Conducts/participates in sales promotion and educational meetings with contractors, applicators, distributors’ personnel, and CertainTeed personnel
What do you bring?
Bachelor's Degree (preferred); H.S. Diploma/GED required in addition to equivalent training and experience that includes knowledge of the regulations, practices and procedures concerned with outside sales activities for the construction industry.
OSHA 30 Certificate or readiness to complete as part of onboarding requirement.
One to three-plus years of related experience in applying this knowledge in daily sales activities such as managing customer relationships, sales presentations, and the closing of sales.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and build quality relationships through networking.
Negotiation skills, problem-solving abilities, and presentation skills are a must.
Proficiencies in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) are also required.
Experience in managing data mining software such as salesforce.com

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $72,500 to $111,500. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 20% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $87,000 to $133,800. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
