Job Description
Thermo Fisher Scientific Language Services is looking for an Italian Language Specialist with experience in clinical translation and quality assurance to join the internal team.
Essential functions would include:
Coordinating and managing the final quality of assigned translations to ensure ahigh qualitystandard.
Running language assets,e.g.translation memories,terminologyand style guides.
Performing occasional linguistic tasks includinginitialtranslation and revision
Performing quality checks on clinical translations (ICFs, protocols,IBs, patient diaries, etc.).
Developing andmaintainingterminology for theItalianlanguage
EnsuringItaliantranslation memories are updated.
Setting and executing linguistic quality assuranceprocessfor the assigned language globally asrequired.
Using CAT technology to monitor quality of outsourced language translations and external suppliers.
Analyzinglanguage quality issues and working on any quality improvement plans with project management.
Applicants should meet one of the below educational/professional requirements:
Bachelor's degree in translations,linguisticsor language studies with significant translation studies from a recognized institution or higher education.
Bachelor's degree in another field and 2 years of full-time translation experience (preferred in clinical translation).
IfnoBachelor'sdegree, 5 years of full-time translation experience (preferred in clinical translation).
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Native Language:Italian
CAT/TMS Tool Experience Required Proven Terminology and TM experience required
Proven skills of multi-tasking, time management, organization, and attention to detail
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office suite
