The Role
We are looking for a highly driven and detail-oriented Program Manager to lead and deliver complex data science and analytics projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of technical understanding, program management expertise, and stakeholder engagement skills to drive successful execution in a fast-paced environment.
This role will be pivotal in planning, coordinating, and delivering data-driven initiatives by working closely with data scientists, engineers, business stakeholders, and leadership.
Responsibilities
Drive end-to-end delivery of data science programs, from requirements gathering to production deployment.
Manage cross-functional project teams including data scientists, analysts, engineers, and product managers.
Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
Develop and maintain program plans, dashboards, and progress reports for stakeholders.
Ensure alignment of project goals with business objectives, regularly engaging with senior leadership and business owners.
Track and manage budgets, resources, and vendor interactions (if any).
Lead agile ceremonies (scrum, sprint planning, retrospectives) and improve delivery cadence and quality.
Promote best practices in MLOps, model governance, and responsible AI, where applicable.
Work closely with QA and DevOps teams for integration and deployment.
Requirements
10+ years of total experience, with at least 4-5 years managing data science / ML / AI projects.
Proven track record of delivering complex technical programs in data and analytics domains.
Strong understanding of the data science lifecycle – from problem definition, data preparation, modeling, evaluation, to deployment.
Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project).
Proficiency in agile methodologies and stakeholder communication.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Technical background in data science, statistics, computer science, or related fields is a plus.
Experience working in healthcare, or similar data-rich industries.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern data/ML pipelines.
PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar certifications are a plus.
