Job Summary
As the ACUCOBOL Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing applications built using ACUCOBOL-GT.
Job Description
We are looking for an ACUCOBOL Developer to support and enhance legacy applications while collaborating on integration with modern systems. This position will be full-time and hybrid .
What You’ll Do
Develop, maintain, and enhance applications built using ACUCOBOL-GT
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in existing ACUCOBOL codebases
Perform system analysis, design updates, and implement new modules or enhancements
Work with other developers to migrate or integrate ACUCOBOL applications with modern systems
Optimize performance and ensure high stability of legacy applications
Prepare technical documentation, including design specs and user guides
Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Support batch jobs, file processing, and data transformations within ACUCOBOL environments
Participate in code reviews and enforce quality standards
Liaise with system administrators for deployment and environment setup
What You’ll Need
Required:
Experience with ACUCOBOL-GT development
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
Knowledge of system analysis and design principles
Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate technical solutions effectively
Familiarity with batch processing and data transformation
Preferred:
Experience integrating legacy systems with modern technologies
Knowledge of optimizing performance for legacy applications
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
