In this role, you will be the primary contact with sourcing focus for several large, complex supplier contracts, owning end-to-end commercial and operational performance. You will shape and lead strategic supplier relationships and sourcing strategies, ensuring that safety, quality, on-time delivery, total cost of ownership, and commercial performance are achieved – and continuously improved – over the life of the contract. This role is highly sourcing-focused and combines strategic category thinking, deep procurement expertise, hands-on supplier management, cross-functional leadership, and high-level negotiation. Job Description
What you will do
Own overall sourcing strategy and performancefor several large, complex supplier contracts in Europe and globally, including make/buy, dual sourcing, risk mitigation, and long-term agreements.
Segment and prioritize suppliers(strategic, critical, transactional) and tailor engagement, governance, and improvement plans using market intelligence, cost modeling, and benchmarking.
Act as primary relationship owner for key suppliers,driving accountability on safety, compliance, quality, delivery, and cost through KPIs, scorecards, and regular business reviews.
Lead end-to-end commercial ownershipof supplier agreements, including RFx strategy, bid evaluation, award recommendations, negotiation, contract closure, and internal approvals.
Use advanced commercial levers(cost recovery, productivity clauses, premiums, rebates, volume commitments) to maximize total value, including cost, income generation, and working capital.
Manage contract and lifecycle performance,tracking bid vs did, leading corrective actions, and overseeing terms, claims, renewals, and re-negotiations in line with GE Aerospace policies and regulations.
Lead cross-functional teams(Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Legal, Programs) to ensure supplier readiness, resolve issues quickly, and design creative sourcing and commercial solutions that generate mutual value.
Required qualifications
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or similar education.
You have significant experience in Sourcing/Procurement or Supply Chain in an industrial, aerospace, automotive, or similar complex manufacturing environment.
You bring experience in one or more of the following (beneficial but not mandatory): Commercial Operations, Consulting, Sales and Business Development, Contract Management
Desired characteristics
You are willing and able to travel up to approximately 50%.
You have proven strategic sourcing and commercial experience, including managing strategic suppliers and negotiating large, complex procurement contracts (LTAs, framework agreements, SLAs, etc.).
You have strong supplier performance and program management experience, using KPIs/scorecards, driving corrective actions, and leading sourcing programs and transformation initiatives through to delivery.
You excel at stakeholder management and communication, influencing at senior levels, building robust internal and external relationships, and operating effectively in large, global, matrixed organizations.
You are data-driven and inclusive, skilled in structured problem-solving, project and change management, and creating innovative sourcing/commercial solutions, while demonstrating humility, openness, and collaboration.
