Saint-Gobain Sales Development Manager in Remote, California
The Role
The Sales Development Manager is responsible for developing new opportunities in key strategic markets, supporting existing business and helping to create a customer centric and very positive customer experience. Managing a variety of activities internally with the operation teams and externally with other peers and customers. The core objective for this role is to develop year over year sales growth through the acquisition of new clients for his/her region that meets the business objectives.
Responsible for developing new relationships by using prospecting skills and resources provided, it will be critical to identify and develop new prospects and evolve them into new customers through cold calling, prospecting and negotiating deals with unfamiliar entities. The ability to develop strong relationships with key contacts such as engineering, production and purchasing managers with be key. In addition, supporting current distribution and converter channels by planning and making joint calls with those company Sales Representatives is required. You will be responsible for training our customers, planning calls with other business functions (Product Management, Market Management and Technical Applications) to support business growth.
The ideal candidate is a proactive business hunter with 3-5 years of successful end user specification selling experience, preferably in pressure sensitive foam tapes, high performance plastics, automotive or transportation, industrial, aerospace, electronics or the construction industries.
Requirements
BS or BA Management, Marketing, Technical, Engineering, Administration, or other Business-Related degree is required
3+ years track record of outside sales experience is required. Experience selling technical products at key strategic markets (Electrical, Aerospace, Industrial) is highly preferred
3-5 years of successful end user specification selling experience or business and application development experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in pressure sensitive foam tapes, high performance plastics, automotive or transportation, industrial, aerospace, electronics or the construction industries is required
Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills
Self-Starter with ability to work autonomously at times
Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software (Salesforce) is preferred
Fluent in English and Spanish is highly preferred

Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $92,000 to $142,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan. The targeted bonus amount is 20% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. (The maximum bonus opportunity is up to 40% of base salary). -The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $110,400 to $170,400. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.-
