Missile Defense Agency Intelligence Operations Specialist in Redstone Arsenal, Alabama

Summary This position is part of the Department of Defense (DoD), Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The incumbent will be responsible for: Serve as the MDA Technical Surveillance Countermeasure (TSCM) and TEMPEST Program Manager, managing a team of TSCM practitioners focusing on foreign technical intelligence activities that threaten MDA's Research Development and Acquisition activities. Responsibilities This position is being filled under AcqDemo Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) for non-acquisition positions involving 51% or more of time in direct support of acquisition positions within Business and Technical Management Professional Career path. As a Intelligence Operations Specialist at the GG-0132-14 broadband level, some of your typical work assignments may include: Serve as the MDA Technical Surveillance Countermeasure (TSCM) and TEMPEST Program Manager, managing a team of TSCM practitioners focusing on foreign technical intelligence activities that threaten MDA's Research Development and Acquisition activities. Oversee the preparation, coordination, and conduct of TSCM and TEMPEST activities in support of MDA Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities, Special Access Program Facilities, Conferences, Flight Tests, or other Department of War (DoW) equities, when requested. Provide direct TSCM and TEMPEST support to all phases the Next Generation Missile Defense development. - Represents the MDA CI Division on Intelligence Community (IC) multi-disciplinary efforts, working groups, or meetings involving TSCM and/or TEMPEST issues. Develops and maintains liaison with counterparts within MDA, Defense Intelligence Enterprise or national intelligence agencies, and components of U.S. commands to coordinate TSCM activities. Incumbent will be required to provide TSCM support to Special Access Programs and CI operations. Anticipates problems and obstacles associated with moderately complex projects and proactively develops solutions to address them prior to implementation Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You may qualify at the GG14 level if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GG-13/NH-03 grade level in the Federal service as listed below and must meet 2 of 4 specialized experience listed below to be qualified: Experience with the Interagency Training Center (TSCM) curriculum. Experience and completion of the Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority (CTTA) curriculum and two-year mentorship with an assigned CTTA as required by CNSS Policy 300. Experience with changing requirements, priorities, and short deadlines. Experience managing multiple short-term and longer-term tasks and projects. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
