Incumbent must be self-directed, adaptable, and possess strong interpersonal skills to be able to interact with senior government personnel on a routine basis. The candidate must be flexible and possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to interact with senior Army leaders and contractors daily.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as an Operations Action Officer in an ACOM operations center.
Work a varied shift centering around 7:30 to 4:30 core hours.
Work triage in a staff duty type environment.
Evaluate information and orchestrate reactions to information.
Coordinate with other operations centers such as HQDA, AMC Subordinate commands, COCOMs and other ACOMS.
Research items and topics in various classified and unclassified databases and sources; prepare briefings and reports based on the results.
Participate in and ensure smooth transitions between outgoing and incoming shifts.
Coordinate Master Events Calendar.
Review and draft Operations Orders, Fragmentary Orders, Execution Orders and the like.
Schedule meetings as appropriate.
Contact key ACOM command and staff personnel on CCIRs, ORIs, etc.
Prepare senior leader updates, e-mails, official memoranda and other correspondence.
Conduct briefing for senior government officials in classified and unclassified venues.
Adhere to the company’s AS9100 and QMS policies, procedures and guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
Preferred: Bachelors or better plus 8 years' experience or HS diploma with 18 years' experience.
Preferred Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 8 years’ experience or HS with 18 years’ experience, preferably as a senior Army logistician.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to write, edit and proofread variety of presentations, position papers and memoranda.
Strong interpersonal, listening, and questioning skills able to interact effectively with senior Army Staff clients daily.
Adaptable to flexible work styles, environments, and locations. Prior experience at the three- and four-star command levels is preferred.
Must be self-directed, detail oriented, and resourceful in completing assigned tasks and projects within assigned deadlines, comfortable working as a member of a team.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of tools: (Excel, Outlook, Access, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint).
A secret security clearance is required.
