Job Description
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead the redesign and optimization of advanced audio amplifier systems for aviation in-flight entertainment and cabin systems. This role involves driving research and development initiatives across Class D audio amplification, high-efficiency power supply design, and DO-160-certified avionics electronics.
Responsibilities
Redesign and optimize Class D audio amplifiers (AC and DC) for aviation cabin systems.
Design high-efficiency DC-DC converters (>98%) and multi-phase power supplies delivering 200W+.
Develop EMI-compliant Class D filter topologies.
Lead product development from concept through production.
Own schematics, PCB layout coordination, debugging, and validation.
Collaborate with certification teams to ensure DO-160 compliance.
Design HDI PCBs with high-speed interfaces (Ethernet, USB).
Implement surge protection and safety circuitry.
Perform simulation, hardware validation, and production testing.
Essential Skills
5+ years of analog and power electronics design experience.
Strong experience with Altium Designer and SPICE simulation tools.
Analog circuit design.
DC-DC power supply design.
EMI/EMC mitigation.
PCB layout and design.
Power electronics and electrical engineering.
Experience with audio amplifiers and DO-160 certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
Proven ability to independently lead complex hardware designs.
Experience with multiphase power supply and high-power design.
Knowledge in Class D amplifier and avionics electronics.
Familiarity with FAA regulations.
Work Environment
Onsite engineering environment with access to full electronics lab equipment. Collaborative R&D team focused on innovation, reliability, and certification-ready design.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $90.00/hr.
