Software Engineer Developer - Automation Location: Redmond, WA Duration: 2 months with possible extension Must-Have skills for the role: 1) java 2) API Design 3) AWS 4) React Nice-to-have skills: 1) Commerce Key job responsibilities - Design and Implement Communications Components, Applications and Services - Partner with the Satellite, Networks and Security engineering teams - Design components, services, and relevant data models - Collaborate with engineers across the organization to gather requirements, design, develop, deploy, and operate critical e-Commerce software for Kuiper. - Work on initiatives building e-Commerce functions on AWS infrastructure and help implement best practices for software development. - Develop code, build CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and dashboards for monitoring health of systems. - Help engineers and build solutions which are required for provisioning and operating an Internet service provider. Basic Qualifications * 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience * 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience * Experience programming with at least one software programming language * Experience managing Java based SDKs, AWS based development, API design, JSON * Java based SDKs, AWS based development, API design, JSON * Java programming Language - MVC Framework * AWS Cloud native skills and AWS tooling * API creation/JSON - Restful webservices and possibly GraphQL * API Gateway knowledge - AWS API Gateway Preferred Qualifications * Experience integrating Financial Application and Accounting solutions (e.g. Oracle) * 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience * Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Benefits: BCforward offers all eligible employees a comprehensive benefits package including, but not limited to major medical, HSA, dental, vision, employer-provided group life, voluntary life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and 401k.
