Job Title: Janitor

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Janitors to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of office spaces within Microsoft facilities. The role requires performing routine cleaning tasks and ensuring that the environment is well-maintained.

Pay is $18, once you go Direct it will jump to $26 which is in about 3-4 months.

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily cleaning tasks and maintain assigned areas.

  • Operate motorized cleaning equipment safely.

  • Follow all safety rules, company policies, and cleaning standards.

  • Report hazards, incidents, or maintenance issues promptly.

  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and stocked.

  • Work collaboratively with team members and follow direction from supervisors.

  • Communicate professionally with leads, coworkers, managers, and customers.

  • Assist during staffing shortages and support shift leadership with punch-list items.

  • Use required personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Maintain a professional appearance and uphold customer service expectations.

  • Accurately use reporting systems and follow environmental procedures.

Essential Skills

  • Physical ability to stand, bend, crouch, and kneel for a 10-hour shift.

  • Basic English reading and speaking skills.

  • Reliable transportation due to shift hours with no bus line availability at 2am.

  • Possession of two forms of identification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to train one day on a day shift before the normal schedule.

  • Understanding and acceptance of union position terms if hired directly.

  • Capability to use a translator app.

  • Possession of a personal phone to bring to work.

Work Environment

Work in an office space environment with no customers present during your shift. The role requires evening hours from Sunday to Thursday, 5:30 PM to 2:00 AM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Redmond, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
