Job description
Summary of Job Purpose:
The Finance Director acts as the primary financial advisor to the site General Manager, overseeing IDD performance management and driving long-term value creation. This role is a key member of the local leadership team and serves as a strategic business partner to IDD Directors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the financial close process, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and IFRS (per Safran standards).
Ensure accuracy, reliability, and timely delivery of group financial reporting.
Act as primary liaison with the SED consolidation team on reporting, analysis, and regulatory updates.
Provide financial insights through dashboards and performance reporting to support business decisions.
Advise leadership on financial impacts and validate financial assumptions in business plans and bid approvals.
Lead internal control activities, including campaign execution and timely submission compliance.
Oversee treasury operations and cash management for the entity.
Manage, coach, and develop a local finance team (3 professionals).
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements :
Office environment. Requires sitting, standing, walking, and use of computer equipment. Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds. Travel required approximately 20-25%, including international.
Candidate skills & requirements
Required Competencies:
Education / Experience:
• MBA, CPA, or equivalent
• 5-10+ years of experience in finance
• Strong, proven record of successful team leadership
• Aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing experience
• Multinational and matrixed organization leadership
Skills and Leadership Attributes:
• Strategic financial leadership
• Enterprise-level P&L management
• French speaker is a plus
