Join our team as an Assistant Project Manager in the Service Division, where you will support the Project Manager in delivering high-quality, responsive construction services. You will be responsible for assisting with administrative, financial, and technical aspects of projects to ensure work is executed safely, profitably, and in alignment with client expectations. This role is ideal for individuals eager to grow in the construction management field, working on projects valued at or under $500,000.
Responsibilities
Assist the Project Manager in managing all administrative and technical requirements for assigned service projects.
Support activities related to contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, scheduling, and project documentation.
Maintain a strong focus on responsiveness and customer satisfaction, supporting rapid turnaround and evolving project scopes typical of service work.
Ensure projects are executed in a safe, sustainable, and timely manner while meeting quality standards.
Assist in determining project resource needs, including labor, materials, equipment, tools, and internal services.
Collaborate with project leadership to plan how and when resources will be deployed to meet schedule and budget requirements.
Support preconstruction and estimating efforts by preparing, reviewing, and tracking cost information for service projects.
Help prepare bid packages and subcontractor scopes of work; coordinate subcontractor pre-work meetings, document meeting minutes, and track follow-up items.
Assist with developing project schedules and responsibility matrices at project kickoff.
Support the submittal process, taking ownership of assigned trades or scopes, especially on fast-track or short-duration projects.
Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and labor.
Communicate performance expectations to subcontractors and suppliers related to schedules, quality, and safety.
Support the Project Manager in addressing performance issues and coordinating corrective actions as needed.
Attend required planning, progress, and close-out meetings to track project performance and resolve issues.
Assist with tracking progress against schedule and budget, reviewing work for compliance with plans and specifications.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, design partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
Essential Skills
2.5 to 4 years experience working as a Sr. Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager in construction with a general contractor or subcontractor (Drywall, mechanical, or electrical)
Commercial Project Experience between $10,000 to $500,000 in scope
Experience being client-facing and ability to communicate with clients effectively
Exposure to preconstruction and ability to estimate projects under $500,000 in scope
Proficiency working in Bluebeam, Procore, and MS Project
Experience running subcontractor meetings, change orders, submittals, RFIs
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Large Commercial Project Experience ($10M+ Budget)
Leadership Experience - overseeing 1-3 junior project engineers
Experience with Change orders, Submittals, Punch-lists, Running Subcontractor Meetings

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Redmond, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
