Senior Financial Analyst
Our client in the Reading, PA area is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst for a contract role. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting financial close activities, forecasting, and performance analysis, with a strong focus on sales-related reporting. This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, and IT to deliver accurate reporting, ensure compliance with internal controls, and provide actionable insights that support business decision-making across the Americas region.
Responsibilities of Senior Financial Analyst
Lead and support the monthly close process, including reconciliation, validation, and analysis of sales and financial results
Develop, maintain, and enhance sales and expense data repositories to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency
Prepare and distribute recurring sales and financial reporting to business stakeholders
Manage rebate and commission reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, including calculation validation and payment processing
Ensure all rebate and commission activities comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and established corporate policies
Perform predictive and trend-based analysis related to Sales and Marketing incentive programs
Partner cross‑functionally with business leaders and IT teams to implement, improve, and automate reporting processes and tools (e.g., Power BI, Salesforce)
Conduct ad hoc financial analysis, special projects, and business support as required
Requirements
Skills/Qualifications of Senior Financial Analyst
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
6+years of progressive financial analysis experience, including hands‑on support of month‑end close activities
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Strong understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements, including SOX
Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI, Salesforce, or other BI/reporting tools preferred
Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner effectively across finance, business, and IT teams
